The lighting on this coffee maker is blue. This comes with a permanent filter basket, a scoop for coffee grounds and a glass 12 cup coffeepot. As you pour the water in the machine the blue light illuminates to the water level, making it easy to see. The coffee maker will stay on for two hours and then shut off automatically. This has a program mode to have your coffee start to brew at a designed time, or you can just turn it on to get your coffee right away. This model also has a 1-4 cup mode for smaller amounts of coffee. The plate the coffee pot sits on gets very hot even after it has been off for a while so don't touch it like I did, I already tested that out for you.
