This one comes with 2 charcoal filters. This is easy to set up, first I rinsed the filter under water before placing it in the fountain then I set it where I was going to plug it in and filled it to the max line and plugged it in, I have mine in the kitchen this is for indoor use. It took m...y animals a bit before they would drink from it as it is new and has a waterfall effect. The dispenser is quite, it makes only a small noise, very unnoticeable. This is easy to clean and the pump should be cleaned every two weeks. Do not let your water fall under the min. level because the pump could burn up with no water flow.
