The cutting board is smooth feeling to the touch it doesn't feel ruff or have splinters. The edges are rounded off so there are no sharp points on this cutting board. The board reads T.J Koch on one side. To clean this I ran it under hot water and scrubbed with dish soap. After dried board and set it up against the wall until completely dry.
