This Ozeri scale is a nice looking scale the one I have is white with chrome accents. There are other colors to choose from. The scale is made of an impact-resistant tempered glass and is nicely oversized for larger feet. When you step on the scale the light comes on and the dial goes to your weight in pounds and kg. There is also a digital read on this scale. After you step off the scale the light goes off and the dial goes back to zero to save the battery life. The scale runs on 3 AAA batteries and is an auto-calibrated scale.  This scale by Ozeri weighs up to 400 pounds (180 kg).  The bottom of the scale has non-slip feet for safety. This is definitely an upscale scale, not your grandmas scale. This is a nice tool to have to help with the 1^st of the year weight loss program I am getting ready to start.
